Thanks all for the replies. Good to hear local marketplaces may be more reliable than thought. I've always sold ****box cars and motorcycles there so you can guess the crowd those products draw lol. Anyway, after talking to some people I found some more "specialized" FB groups. Gunna give some of them a try and then maybe ebay if that doesn't pan out.

If I was selling this bike in this market I’d be looking for well over $10k as it’s effectively brand new, unridden and limited edition. I don’t know what the warranty situation would be though. If it’s non-transferable that would put a big dent in the value. But on the plus side it is available now without the potential of a long delay on a new order.

If I couldn’t get at least $10k now I would probably ride it for a season and then try to sell it for a little less in 2023. It’s almost too new as it stands ie. not many people willing to pay anywhere close to full retail for a brand new bike from a private seller. Especially on a $15k bike. So it might be worth much the same in a year’s time as it is now ie around $10k. Plus you get to enjoy it for a year!

New high end bikes are not available retail. As ridiculous as it is, there is someone out there willing to pay close to retail. Here are two examples of recent such sales. The exact sales price isn't known. Just list it on ebay and if it does not sell, no harm.

$15,000 of Best Offer (BO accepted)

When doing the actual sale, arrange to meet the buyer in a bike shop and pay the bike shop to confirm it's condition. That should result in peace of mind for both of you.

And, if you ship it anywhere, make sure you document its condition really well with photos and video of it being boxed. You don't want someone contesting the payment (PayPal comes to mind) after they get it and claim it's not as advertised or they scratch/break something after unboxing and lie about how it happened. Lots of bubble wrap is your friend as well.
