Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They're linked in the new sticky. (https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=491534)

I like it. Less clutter.

I just don't see the point in trading long time fixtures that were interesting and related to biking for pointless crap. All though this is bikeforums.net and we love our pointless crap.

They were old and bloated. Once you get past 10 pages, the thread becomes a labyrinth.

Yeah it's so much easier to wade through all this to find them not cluttered at all.

Gee I am glad someone pointed out where the link is for the for trade sticky. Once again the powers that be have made things more of a hassle.

Hey mods can you put that sicky back where it belongs or at least put it as a sicky in the for sale section?

I didn't touch these stickies. Lotek and I caught enough @#$% when we messed with the stickies in C&V.

Joe, I've got mixed opionions on that idea. One one hand having them all in one place would make them consolidated and eliminate multiple posting. But how many posts of all MTB stuff does one want to scan through to find Road gear, and vise-versa.

The only problem is that then it wouldn't be available to everyone. If you want the for trade sticky back, that can be arranged. We were trying to consolidate the stickies into an indexed thread to reduce clutter and give the new members a starting place, though, and the Nothing thread is only going to be stuck long enough to get established and running, after that, it'll be up to you guys to keep it on the main page.

Apparently I logged on right before Tom changed it up - I was going to complain about the Thread About Nothing, but then it was gone when I read ^that post and hit refresh. I like the new lack of stickies. The only thing I would change is move the "Warning" thread to the top of the stickies.

Unfortunately, as the other stickies are posted in, they replace the warning thread at the top.
Nature of the beast.
