How many Bikes do you currently own?
Some may say i'm a addict. I say each one has its purpose. My wife says i'm crazy. LOL.
What do you guys think.
1. road bike=racing and training
2. cross bike= cross fun
3. fixed gear= Training during the winter
4. steel road bike= Charity rides sunday long rides
5. Track bike= Fun!
6. Mountain bike= The whole reason I ride a bike!
and couple spare frames.

Probably because he has just one ass for the saddle, & only one foot for each pedal. I think it would be remarkably difficult to ride more than one mountain bike at a time...so why have more than one?

Haha I know. I was trying to set him up to answer his own question by saying something along the lines of "For different kinds of riding." so I could set him straight that not everyone has multiple kinds of mountain bike trails in their area. Because for what I have in my immediate area, one FS XC bike is more than sufficient. (but then again, I would mind having a Ti hardtail for some of the smoother trails..)

^^ . . . and, of course, EVERYONE needs a rigid, steel, singlespeed 29er whip in their stable.

2009 BMC Road Racer - Road training (racing someday)
1986 Cannondale R600 - Commuter
1993 Bontrager OR Race Lite - Light SS goodness
2007 Specialized Enduro Expert - Trail bike
Wife
2009 Giant Trance
1997 KHS Road Bike
Daughter
2010 Specialized HotRock 24 Mountain version
Son
2009 HotRock 20
Mom
Some ancient 80 lbs women's drop bar havin', coaster brake shod, cruiser of some sorts, complete with rust...
Later this year, the wifey gets a replacement road bike, and I get a mountain bike for racing (Epic probably). Son will probably get a BMX bike and a 24" mountain bike to replace his HotRock 20 within the next year and a half. Also, buying my mom a new ride. Clunker needs to go!

1) Nashbar full rigid Mountain bike. Pictures to be posted shortly
2) 1985 Univega Super Strada road bike.
3) My early 80's Schwinn Mirada ATB. Came with 650b rims. It's been converted to 700c rims, V-brakes, and 8 speed rear cassette. This is the bike I ride when I am going to be locking it up for a while out of view. Normal pedals on it so's I can use it for general errands. Heavy & not particularly nimble. Works better than it has a right to as a city bike. $25.00 off Craigslist.
There's a 2007 Hardrock frame in my garage, a warranty replacement from Specialized. Studying the feasibility of turning it into a cyclocross-ish bike

Oh & for the sake of contributing to the topic, I have a 2001 GF Wahoo--fully rigid by sturdy enough to manage--& 90% of a FS KHS XC bike.

I guess if you include my girlfriends bike.
4 full and 3-5 fractions.
2006 Specialized Allez - Road Bike
2006 Giant FCR (Dropbar Conversion) - Touring Bike
2010 GT Avalanche 3.0 Disc - MTB
1982(ish) Open Road 10 - Road Bike (Comfort Bar Conversion)
A whole bunch of parts and some frames lying around to build up at some point.
But I did however just move into a newer bigger house with plenty of room for more bikes.
