Cinelli Pista
I have what I think is an early 70's (late 60's?) Cinelli Pista. see pictures in the gallery #16295595 . 57cm, full Campagnolo groupo, cinelli steel bar and stem, uni cantor plastic saddle. Fiamme red label rims with pirelli specialissimo corsa leggero tires. I bought this from a bike store that was going out of business in the late 80's, rode it once and it has been on display since. excellent condition except for some patina on the paint. Any idea what this is worth and any help narrowing down what year it was made?

Interested in seeing the pics but the link doesn't work .
Cinelli track bikes are in rarified air and in the condition you are describing and even in this depressed market I would expect pricing to start at $1750 - but pending condition and photos

I think I need to make more posts before I can show pictures in this thread.

Love the color. This is the kind of bike I would want to hang up in my office and roll around the block once in a while at lunch time. It's my size too!!!.

Ditch the winged C on the top tube, much much later. Screaming for cloth bar tape, level the saddle out.
I cannot tell what rims it has, (looked at the images, not the first post text) Those would be period and an upgrade from Fiamme. Tied and soldiered spokes. "headclip" at headset... Serial numbers for Cinelli are all over the map.
what would be interesting would be the Bottom Bracket shell width, as Cinelli sometimes used 65mm,and the rear spacing where they from time to time used 110mm at the rear.
Those two features would impress the potential buyers.
The hubs will have a date code on the compression sides of the lock nuts, no guarantee if original, if the hubs do not have Record, just the Campagnolo world logo, probably original.
Do the lugs have three holes on the tops?
The market is soft right now, $1,800 and it will find a buyer. At the top of the market, definitely more.

I wanted to remove the "new winged C" but was afraid of damaging the paint.
The rims are fiamme red label but they are the oval sticker not the rectangle. Stickers are pretty much flaked off at this point as well.
I will measure BB shell
hubs are definitely just the Campagnolo world logo.
Lugs have a single hole on the underside.

Built for speed. That is such a rare bike, with the steel stem and bars, the plastic Unicanitor saddle, in used condition, which makes it more valuble in my opinion. Its got everything going for it, and a track bike. Someone is looking for one of these and is willing to pay for it. I'd put the value at $4000.

that is good.
not sure I share vonruden’s enthusiasm, in years past, yes.
Just seen too many bikes go cheap lately.
