Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Car commercials were weird back then. Thought it was an advertisement for a hospital.

You could just buy one for less than the cost of your Madone.

I didn't think it would be lit tonight. (I think) a kiddie pool blew across that row of candy canes and broke a bunch. Heads were gone from dogs, tipped over, missing ears and tails... I pulled up and was pretty distressed, but it's really as good as new now. Being a hoarder helps. Popping up to the garage attic to grab some candy canes was a big help. Now I just need to clean up the back yard. Holy cow. A mural (???), that little pool I mentioned, a bunch of kitchen type trash cans (??) and a bunch of other crap.. Crazy.

Thanks Bill. Yes indeed. I'm surprised I pulled it off. Watching the security cameras in real time, didn't help.

I don't know why, but my strong preference is to build with a single groupset for each bike. About as far as I diverge from that is the mix of two generations of Dura Ace on the Ritchey.

That's the wrong approach. If you can afford all that stuff, then you can afford to pay the fines, as a matter of fact you are most likely to get a ticket that you will probably pay rather than go to court because that's what cops do now. They generate revenue
