Hi, I'm new To the forum and thread

John from John's Bike Vintage Roadbike Garage suggested I join the forum so I though I'd give it a try. Been riding, refurbishing and customizing bikes for decades. Latest project was to rebuild a 1985 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe that had been hanging since new. It probably didn't have 50 miles on it when I started the rebuild. I also modified it slightly by giving it a more tourist like vibe with a Sakae Northroad Bar a Brooks B67 and aluminum fenders.

(Kudos on your first picture! Drive side shot in the shade on a sunny day! And I'm not known for being "Kind.:")

I love half-step-plus-granny gearing, and if one is not going to have drop bars, then thumb shifters are also the way to go. Your frame and paint are in great condition, and it looks like you have selected a very versatile tire size. The mudguards are a nice touch, and I am a rabid fan of Brooks saddles, now with four Brooks Pros in my collection.
