Please help!

I have come across a vintage bike that says it was made in Austria. I tried posting pictures but I'm a new member so not yet. I have tried looking up info and can find nothing, hoping one of you have some knowledge! Only identifying brand/marking says Jet. Blue women's bike with attached headlight.

Welcome to Bike Forums. To limit spam on the site, we require 10 substantive posts prior to allowing a new member to post pictures. The best way generate acceptable posts is to go to introductions and introduce yourself and tell us about your cycling and engage in a conversation with other members. And you may participate in threads by posting. 10 posts happen quickly. Good luck and once again welcome.

You can also just upload your pic to the gallery here on BF and tell us in your post that it's there. We can usually find it. Or put it on a site like imgur.com and type the URL in your post. You might have to put a space on either side of any period in it and maybe remove the https://. Don't try to link it with the editor tools.

As mentioned the Classic & Vintage sub-forum will have the most members that can help you with bikes of the late 20th century.

I haven't been there in a long time. Don't know if any of the members there will know what a URL is much less how to make it work again if you do happen to post one. <grin>

Welcome to BF.

You are on a public forum, chill. Don't take posts personally. IMO, trying to make a snide reply to a post like cx's puts you in the same place. So, welcome to BikeForums. A quick search on google came up with this:

https://www.99bikes.com.au/pedal-jet...road-bike-mint

Hope it helps. Be well

I did get interested to know what bicycles have been manufactured in Austria. Seems like Steyr-Daimler-Puch is the only one I find for vintage bicycles. And many seem to be sold under other brand names such as Sears. There were a lot of different department store and hardware store bikes back in the 50's and 60's that had "jet" in their name.

Is this something like what you are looking at?

I don't know if these are actually made in Austria. But jet is in their name.

But Pedal is made in Australia... I think. Not Austria.

But lacking input from the OP, you might be on to something.

Don't go. You wouldn't like it. Everyone there is way too knowledgeable, civil and pleasant.

We have done some clean up and moved this thread from General Cycling to Classic & Vintage.

If you can't help a new forum member, don't make unhelpful snarky posts. Just simply move on to another thread.

It is. The paint very much shows the years, mostly faded to matte, and all the decals are pretty chewed up. So I turned it into my "stealth commuter," single speed and a blast to ride.

Photo assist:

A photo from the "drive side" (right side) would be helpful; also helpful to get a more straight-on shot, rather than looking down.
