Hi

Hey guys,
I told myself I was going to get a bike, I did my research and then quickly realize that my budget was way too low. I increased it to five hundred bucks and realized it still was too low especially since I am six six about 210 pounds. A "Clydesdale" as you say. I found a "newish" bike with a dent in the top tube a bad boy 2 Cannondale 2016 for what I thought was a decent markdown price. It is an XL of course. Can't get the bars up but it fits pretty well to me. I ride for exercise, to have a little fun, and also to learn something new.

Peace,
Chuck

The folks in the Bicycle Mechanics forum or the General Cycling Discussion can help you with any adjustments to the bike. Have fun.

Hi Chuck. I'm glad you found a bike you could afford and are comfortable with. I think there is a steering tube extender that you can use to raise the bars. Enjoy the forums.

Thanks no1mad!

RonH Nice heads up, I'll be snooping around there soon for sure.

1989pre Yeah that would be sweet! Sounds easy too I saw a video on changing spacers on another kind of bike. Imma check that out.

Awe man, thanks for the welcome. Y'all make me wanna go riding tonight!

Welcome Chuck. At 6'6", a proper sized bike is important and I would suggest a professional bike fit.
