Addiction 2021.4

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Perhaps I'm missing something (unlikely), but it seems you've been trying to figure out what is wrong with your back for seven months.

You are missing something. 2 months. I've been trying to get an answer since February. So for 9 months. Remember, I could write a book.

In part it is my fault for forgetting that tomorrow is Thanksgiving. We stopped celebrating that, and Christmas when we left the country. These two holidays are a large part of the reason I got the idea to leave the country. But that is another story. She's going tomorrow, to appease the hosts. I am not, in large part due to the presence of the one year old grandson and the "cuteness factor".. Also, eight is a bigger crowd than I like to be a part of. Covid or no.

A fellow misanthrope! I'd say "Misanthropes Unite", but that's the LAST thing any of us want.

Does alcohol make the flu shot not work? Or cause any other bodily function issues. I wish I coud say I'm asking for a friend
No alcohol after a flu shot is a new one for me!

Never heard that one, but Mrs. GeneJockey's doc did suggest she not get her COVID booster for two weeks after her shingles vaccine.

Yeah, if it’s Moderna and the effects are addictive, that could make you pretty sick. Can’t think of any immunological reason.

I advise separating any shot by a week or so, to let your body’s systems recover. It’s not medically necessary, but it’s a matter of kindness.
