1970 Peugeot PX10 Single Speed Cruiser
My 1970 Peugeot PX10 Purchased used in 1971 … I was 15 years old…
Currently set up as a single speed for our flat seaside town…
Phil hubs with Mavic rims, built in 1977… Never touched with a spoke wrench since they were built… Schwalbe Marathon tires… 700c x 32 front - 35 rear …
New/old upright bars and levers controlling Mafac Criterium cantilever brakes… Braze-on brake posts by Paul Sadoff in 1981… 1973 Campy Nuevo Record headset (French) … Stem from Performance Bike…
Powder coat: Glossy black… Done around 2005… The Brooks Pro saddle is the second saddle on this bike… American Classic seatpost … The original seat tube rusted at the bottom bracket and a new tube, sized for non-French seat posts was installed, again by Paul Sadoff (Rocklobster Bikes, Santa Cruz, CA) … The original Brooks Pro saddle is now on my beach cruiser…
The 531 frame, the relaxed 72 degree angles and the slightly longer wheelbase make for a very comfortable ride..
1977 Phil bottom bracket, serviced once, with Campy Athena crank… Gearing 39 x 18 … The chain guard is 53 tooth ring, with the teeth ground off and polished… Pedals are generic flat platform pedals with pins… Nothing fancy …

Great stuff. Bottle cage mounts and brake cable things too! Working towards the Ship of Theseus. 😀
Congratulations.
Congratulations.
