Fuji Supreme Part Out?
Hi Everyone, just a quickie question. I've got the opportunity to buy an 82 Fuji Supreme (Burgundy) for $40-50. It has frame rust here and there, most of the chrome has some light rust on it, it appears to have the original Fuji seat and all of the stock components. Seems to shift through all the gears, although a little force is required to do it and most of the paint has scratches in it. The wheels are true and can easily be cleaned up. Cog teeth all have little wear on them.
Is there any value to the components? Thinking if I can get it cheaper ($20?)I would clean up and sell off the parts.
Thanks for any feedback!
Mark

For $20 I view a deal like this as a way to stock up on the obscure hardware for other builds. Brake bolt nuts, derailleur cable clamps, seatpost clamp bolts, step-down ferrules, hub spacers, etc...
I've had more than one build held up on some obscure piece of hardware that eBay wants 5x its value for.

If it's a complete original bike it's probably got some real nice Suntour & Sugino parts on it. I'd definitely snap that up if it's all there.

Why not just buy the bike to use as a commuter?
Or, let someone else who wants a good deal on a commuter get it?
I've got a few too many "parts bikes" full of parts that are too cheap for me to ever use.
