Show your best or favorite find for 2015
For me it's hard to narrow it down to one. I picked up quite a few bikes this year. A Gitane track bike and an Italvega that I've been after for a long time. But my favorite, even though I didn't keep due to size, was a Trek 959. I took a chance with a quick purchase not being 100% about it being the real deal. Worked out great for me and the happy new owner. I have to keep him happy, he has around 400 bikes, which I'm after around 20 of them.

I have an item and a bike.
the item being a hub BH Racelite front which I had been looking for a long time.
Looking forward to wheel building this winter.
Bike is a future C&V, 2015 Soma Rush track
Gives me great joy to spend the day riding around and work off stress.

Mine will have a separate thread when it arrives, but it's likely to arrive next year. And yes, I said the red Caffi/Carré was the last one for a while, but I was thinking about which frame to turn fixed gear, and this came up.

Had a few quality bikes go through my hands this year but it's easily this:
Love it. Rode it more than I've probably ridden in the previous 3 years combined. Now I get to stare at it everyday on the wall this winter and look forward to when I get to get back on it.

My childhood bike! 1983 Huffy Pro Thunder. Here it is after getting it all fixed up. I normally ride road/mountain bikes, but this one is a lot of fun.....

Really scaled down this year. I did pick this up, which should be fun! Still changing parts. Going to go with a Red, White and blue theme. New ring, different Levers, different wheels (white aero).

Bought two bikes this year, the '84 Univega Gran Tourismo and '86 Miyata 710. 
Haven't ridden either one much yet, and both will need some 'consumables' replaced, seats replaced, and downtube shifters changed over to barcons... Winter projects...
Speaking of barcons, my best deal of the year was getting a pair of SunTour barcons, complete with bare stainless cable housings and the double downtube cable stop for $12.50!

Rene Herse frame for 51 euros
This is probably my once-in-a-lifetime find, so I should probably just stop looking for anything else right now. With all the lusting after Herses, I'm amazed that nobody else recognised this as a 1948-50 Herse Competition frameset. It closed at 51 euros with only two bids.

2015 was my busiest and certainly best year refurbishing bikes, with 18 going through my hands. my nicest two were an '81 mondia super (531sl) and this '79 trek 930/938 with columbus sl.
one of the joys of doing this is passing on my love of vintage bikes to adults returning to cycling after decades removed from the sport/lifestyle (like myself not long ago). it's incredibly rewarding.
