Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Speaking of brief, glorious moments, the smoke cleared!!! No knowing how long this will last, so I took advantage of it to go out for a quick couple dozen miles.

It didn't clear here but 2 of us did another 50 mile ride and most of it was quite pleasant until we climbed back into the valley and it was nasty. I don't feel like I damaged myself like I did on the weekend, though.

Found quote whilst interneting:

“When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking.”

Yeah it’s cool here too, 46F. Riding in a bit. How is your tour going?

It was so interesting to watch them collapse in exactly the same way every time. Was it Denver's defense in the second half? I'd like to watch that series again.

Yesterday was really tough. Something like 46 miles with 3,500’ of climbing. Some really nasty grades. The last 4.5 were particularly hilly, and I was carrying groceries. About to start the abandoned Turnpike.

I cannot believe how coach Rivers let that kid Murray single-handedly erase a 12 point lead in the first half without doing anything about it. Call a timeout forcryingoutloud! lol

I went to bed at the half, BillyD needs his rest.

The Nuggets became a good team the old fashioned way. They drafted their way into a top team in the NBA. Buying our way in is tough in this market. We don't have the coast money, nor do we have the following.

I like 'em, and I like the Joker, but the Clippers had them 3-1 and couldn't finish, even with 20 point leads in 2 of the elimination games.

Part of it had to be "here we go again" mentality. You have a 20 point lead and all of a sudden you can't buy a shot? Of course that happens at the same time as Murray or Jokic getting hot.
I guess we'll see what the Lakers can do with Denver.

My usual response is "how do you think families are made?", but in this case, not like that.

Obligatory COTA pics from last night. It felt super wrong to get off the P2 on a race track for it.
