Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think that's called March. It was my least favorite month.

Sounds like something he would do.

When does the next REI sale start. I opted out of their emails.

And the Classics are the best cycling of the year. I need to figure out a way to watch them. A Colombian feed is prolly the best option, but vamos a ver.

I don't keep up with the sales or get the emails. The membership is in my wife's name. I did order a jersey yesterday with "her" dividends, and graciously thanked her.

When I was in college I parked next to a professor's orange early '70s 911. Drooled on it every day.

It's a first world problem, but I still feel slightly annoyed, enough to gripe about it.

My personal email started getting too much spam about 1 year ago, so I set the filter to "exclusive/contacts only" but still did my best to eyeball the "spam" filter as rarely, like 1 in 100, of those emails in junk/spam were actually something useful.

However, in the past year the number of junk/spam emails has easily tripled, and life is too short for me to scan through several hundred junk emails daily, looking for a needle in a haystack.

Create a second personal account that you only use to communicate with friends, family and work. Use the old one for e-commerce.

If the vendors don't get the email address, it is very hard for them to spam you.

Welp, Trsnrtr, I've done it, now - it's new grinder time. I've been wanting to get in to a single dose machine, which should be less waste and allow me to swap between beans with zero fuss, so I've got a DF64 en route. Hopefully it'll be here in a week or so. They sat in customs for weeks (months?) and I just don't like to pre-pay for something in limbo, but they're finally clear and on the way to the distributor. I went with Red because they were the cheapest and I'm cheap.

Problem with that is I don't want to spam all my contacts with "new email address," as I have had the same primary email address for over 20 years. Of course, if things get really bad I may have to do this.

Way back in the early days of the millenium, I had a UK email address, because I wanted in no way to be identified as an American.(I was living in Belize). I got zero spam. Does it still work that way? Can you get along with a UK email address?

Maybe, but I wish I could keep my current address for my contacts.

I didn't say you don't get any.

What you don't get is that what is hers is hers, what's ours is hers, and what's mine is hers. That's how it works in community property states anyway.

I guess you could go on a massive "Unsubscribe" spree, then block whatever spam remains for a few weeks.

And create a secondary email account for buying stuff/joining things/etc.
