Inexpensive second wheelset?

I was pondering a second wheelset for my fat bike for when I ride the MUP's or rail trails. Something like a 50-65mm wide rim with 3-4" slicks or even a 29er set. Problem is, with 15x150 front spacing, my options seem a bit limited.

Anyone have any suggestions or do I need to make a custom build?

I appreciate the suggestion but $1000 isn't inexpensive.

Watch the buy/sell forums on Pinkbike and join the fatbike trade group on Facebook. There is often decent deals on 29+ wheelsets there.

Fatbike wheels are going to be tough to find cheap. Either try to find something on AliExpress that will fit your bike, or watch your local buy and sell to see if someone upgrades and sells a set of hubs, then build them into a 29er set.

Yes. Missed that.

Either way...not going to find anything cheap for fat wheels. And if you do they will be junk.

Yep... A second wheel set is a real gem... Finding a decent inexpensive wheel set? ...Ha

I don't know if its true but I have heard of some people buying a new Walmart bike just to scavenge its components...
