Ryffranck C-Record !

Hi !

I just wanted to show off / share my newest acquisition since these Québec made bikes are so rare even in Québec.

The frame seems to be top notch and exactly my size so it might be a keeper. If you want to read more about the maker and the bikes visit this website . Each frame is made to order and silver brazed. If anyone has ridden those I'd like to know how they compare to Marinoni.

Enjoy!

Funny thing. My son, who lives in Toronto, contacted me today asking about these bikes. There is a frame set for sale in Toronto on Cl for $500.00 and he wanted to know if he should buy it or not. I could not advise since this is the first I have heard of the make. Looks to be a pretty nice bicycle. Let's see close ups of drops, and underside bottom bracket. My guess is the bike will ride just great if it is anything like my Marinoni.

Hey I too have a Ryffranck! Almost haven't ridden it, and I don't have decent close ups pics. Its got a cool fastback cluster. I second Bianchigirll about your crown. Very cool. Check out this article about him here and here.

I've seen the ad , there is no picture unfortunately. The frame is certainly worth the $500 if its in nice shape but this would be far from it's current market value. I'll get pictures tomorrow but this one has Columbus drop outs and internal cable routing. You can PM if you want to know how much I paid for this one . I've ridden a few Marinonis and they're definitly a reference point.

Thanks for the article. Only 357 frames , no wonder they don't come up for sale often !

Fantastic bikes! You two and KonAaronSnake are making my "bike" day. Beautiful bikes Tuz and Mainducoyote. Mainducoyote, are those Cinelli bars, maybe 64's? I can't quite make out the model numbers. What Cinelli stem as well? And Tuz, same questions for you please. I picked up a sister DeRosa to my wife's Primato three weeks ago, just in my size. Some fit issues, and I really like what I see here. If you might list out some specs when you get some time. Thanks.

That was in '97. I think the serials (under BB) are sequential, tried to reach him from the website to ask, with no success. My number is in the 200s IIRC. Here is a more recent one, no 560. Indeed they are few and far between!

Edit: Gomano these are 3TTT bars/stem. But it now sports a Cinelli 1A w/ 64s actually! Also I recently asked Sr. Marinoni about Ryffranck (he paints his bikes), I think he's retired. And while I'm here here's a pic of the seat cluster.

Fab bike! The only thing you need now is a 1st gen rear mechanical to match the rest of the C - Record.

Thanks , but I think second gen is appropriate enough considering the cranks are not first gen ether

*Edit: rear derailleur is actually first gen with a diffrent cage variation

Luck and $

Thanks for your comments. I'm disapointed, I just measured the frame and the seat tube is 53cm C to C , I'm 5'9'' with long legs. This frame is definitely everything I like about a road frame ( quality , exclusivity , flat crown fork and looks) but too small... I also didn't expect everything to be British threaded (which is a good thing). Oh yeah every tube is rifled so I'm gessing it's at least Columbus SLX.

Anyways I might built it up for me just to see what it looks like and because I can.

Is there any chance you could repost these images on J.P. Ryffranck? I'd love to read more.

The OP hasn’t posted in a number of years, it’s possible you won’t hear from him.
