My everything bike (for the moment), a 2009 Bianchi Pista. Essentially stock with a few swaps: Brooks B17 Narrow saddle, SPD M520 pedals, profile designs water bottle cages, and random tires on the front and back (used to run with SuperSport Plus from Continental, but when those wore out I was out of money so I just bought a couple of Zaffiro's, and when one of those burst a few weeks back I bought an Ultrasport). New bike in a week! Also steel! Will post that one too!

Very nice. I like that era too. Clean and quick looking.
The current gfx with the "courier" style font looks a little too plain to me. The vigorelli in celeste is classy looking, but the others need some pizzazz.

Here's mine -- an updated 1993 Bridgestone RB-1. Built it up in a day and took it on a shakedown ride up Hyde Park Road to Aspen Vista in Santa Fe. Used a torque wrench for assembly for the first time, and only had to turn the derailleur barrel adjuster once to dial it in. I'm sold on torque wrenches.
I call it my neo-retro budget hill climber. Nods to the original spec (in spirit) with the Nitto stem, seatpost and 10sp barcons, but couldn't resist the weight savings of the wiggle.com megasale on Ultegra cranks and the sub-1500g Vuelta wheelset.

I just finished this one today, after stealing the components off of my old damaged Fuji. It's a 1985 Nishiki Team Issue with a mix of vintage Dura-Ace 7400 & 7800 parts, along with Shimano PD-A600 pedals and RS61 wheels, new Nitto handlebar and stem, and blue Brooks Swallow saddle (which I leveled properly after I took this photo).

Here is my Bianchi Axis circa 87 ??I think..mostly compact 105 except for the front derailleur and the cantilever break which is what came with the bike, mavic open pro wheelset with 105 hubs, bontreger tires and all STEEL FRAME AND FORKS!!it's a little big for me but I've been riding it for almost 2 years now and was able to make it fit for me with all the adjustments that i did..

Black Mountain Cycles Monstercross!
Dressed for the trails (Bruce Gordon Rock 'n Roads 43mm)
and for the "road" (Marathon Supreme 51mm)
This bike is a blast. I was looking for something to replace a CrossCheck I had to sell to meet some grad school expenses, and this goes way beyond that bike (as much as I loved it). Lighter frame (though not by much), livelier feel, same great wide-tire clearance.
