Can someone give me the quick story of who Sheldon Brown was?
Was he an employee of Harris ?

I'm in the UK and know very little about this store but have made good use of the Sheldon Brown site. Even though I didn't know him I felt I did from his writing and wished he could have stayed with us for a few more decades. I don't know if its significant but of the two Americans I've felt most strongly about when they died it was Sheldon and Carl Sagan. Just felt far too soon for both.

livedarklions, thank you for posting this photo and information. I no longer live in the area. If I did, I would have swung by the store
to thank them, and say goodbye. I was a customer there for decades, starting when they were in much smaller space, next door
to the old West Newton theater.

Jon Harris spent his entire adult life in the store. His experience and knowledge of the bike business would be valuable. It is good to
know that he will be continuing in some role.
