Thanks for this suggestion... I bought a two tone (blue/ivory) jersey and it fits more like Pearl Izumi than say, Castelli. So a large fits like a US large vs. an Italian brand XL fitting more like a US medium. The wool fabric is substantial, but not overly hot. It has three huge, deep rear pockets (much more volume than standard jerseys). Nicely made and very affordable compared to other wool jerseys out there. Received in less than a week.

For a shakedown ride, I rode my 23 pound Motobecane Le Champion up Snowmass Creek Road to the end of the pavement, and continued up to the ski resort on a Forest Service road that eventually connects in with Snowmass Village. Tough in places, but no walking. But on the descent I had to stop several times to straighten my fingers out of their death grip.
The Ride with GPS info was helpful. Really looking forward to the ride...

I'm excited and gettin' ready! I just have to loctite the Cinelli's chainring bolts and then dig out my somewhat ratty Wheaties jersey and that should complete the preparations. Looking forward to those post-ride (and some syn-ride) beverages.

Super excited, probably over packing and undertraining
Making sure all rides are on the Cino Rig and making sure all is smooth. Have some gravel loops I am adding as part of my noon time ride.
have rides mapped out for training when visiting my dad in Chinook the week before (well one anyway dads house to Chief Joseph Battle ground)
will be fun to meet more people IRL

With the craziness of supply chains this year, I didn’t want to even risk getting jerseys. I had to plan starting in the fall with my previous supplier and STILL had to get them shipped faster than normal shipping because of how long it took to get them on their end. I didn’t want to add possible supply issues into the mix.
It’s an austere Cino in the Jersey sense. I’m trying to cook up something though…

Many of us Cino virgins would definitely be appreciative of you cooking up something. I love the classic and spartan look of those Cino jerseys of years past and would be highly disappointed if there was no Cino jersey future. It doesn't have to be available at the ride but it would be great if I could buy something later to celebrate the ride. No pressure...just dreamin'

Gravel samples 3,000 miles apart. Oregon shots from yesterday's ride, Florida shots were back in May. There are some really tough and very challenging stretches of eroded dirt, deep sand and rough gravel on Cino, but also long stretches that closely resemble gravel roads all over the USA. Don't go in unprepared. Find some gravel in your area and ride it.
