Rack update to fit the recumbent

I have a Rans recumbent that I bought locally last year, and it was way too long to fit the bike rack. And hanging the bike upside down on the arms of the trunk rack didn’t set well with me. Then I learned that Saris had a long bike bar option for their Freedom rack, which the longer bar is discontinued. But I found one available on the Trek site and a local bike shop was able to order the bar for me. I just finished switching the bars on the rack and test fit it on my wife’s car and it will work, yippee. Now I just need to get a receiver hitch mount on the commuter car so I can start bringing the Rans to work with me.
