Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do you happen to know if they're hookless compatible? Report back with your thoughts either way, though.

Will do WhyFi I probably won't ride the tyres for a bit as the two on my bike now still have some life in them...And just like that, I've cursed myself to flats and or some other major type of tyre repair...

Bought tons of stuff over the last month. FFWD F4r wheels, ENVE SES carbon bar, ENVE stem, Lake CX238 shoes in wide this time. Selle SMP Lite 219 saddle. Finally did a professional bike fit so I needed to change some things on the bike.

It’s the Garmin mount sold separately.

Wait; you're supposed to BUY THEM?

The last half dozen I picked up were orphaned at our town recycling center. IOW, free. They were stashed in barns and garages around the Ranch until I got inspired enough to work on them. That inspiration finally struck after I got tired of looking at the matched set of red Chicago Schwinn Suburbans. A mixte and a regular, both too damn tall, but too damn tempting not to rebuild. So they're scruffy and showing their age, but done. It cost me hours, tires, rim strips, and brake pads.

They both have the underrated but cool FFS and Positron rear derailleurs. Try figuring out why the rear chainwheel cluster won't turn when you've never seen one of these. 😏 Decent paint, worn decals, marginally presentable fenders and alloy "Schwinn Approved" rear carriers. More springs than I've ever seen in a saddle. Two big coils at the back and a half dozen longitudinal ones make it remarkably cushy. With the upright touristy bars, it's a great ride, even though too tall for me. So I don't stop unless absolutely necessary. 😄

Pics when I grow up.

Just bought a 2021 Specialized Roubaix Sport. I've only ridden it for a few miles, but I already love it.

My favourite winter top finally gave up after 10 years of cosy riding on chilly nights.

New one on the way. Looks like they've improved the pockets otherwise the same.
