Unhappy Bafang BBSO2 display won't turn on & neither does motor

So I'm paralyzed and ride a handcycle with a BBSO2. I'm in the process of figuring out how to carry a second battery to plug in when the first one dies. I was unplugging connections to see how I should run the wires, and unplugged a little round connector with approximately 8 or 9 pins in it. I got it plugged back together, but now the display doesn't turn on and the motor doesn't do anything either.

I tested and found that there is power going to the display and there is power going from the display to the motor.

What have I done??? And how do I fix this?

Thanks everyone for the help I hope you provide.

Check “the pins” in that connector to make sure they are all straight.

Also, you might get more expert opinions at the “ Endless Sphere” forum site, lots of ebike and Bafang info there.

The pins are straight. Thanks for the lead to Endless Sphere. I'd never heard of it before.

You might also look at YouTube; this motor has been around for awhile, so maybe some information on the "male" nine pin connector.which AIR goes from the controller (housed in the motor) to the display, PAS, brakes (to shut the motor when braking) and battery.

I ordered a new connector and it should be here tomorrow. I really hope this is where I went wrong.

The BBS02 is the same wiring, Check that 5 pin connector off the display too. These connectors are good, but can be hard to seat fully.
