Hey Kahn, was that first picture at the Sand Point Sailing Club?

Looks like a fleet of club 420s.

This is a good and long running thread. Let’s not close it because of some lately inappropriate and political content posts. I deleted a few recent posts and cleaned up another.

If you are familiar with Seattle, it was taken at Sunset Park in Ballard (I generically call all of Seattle west of Phinney Ride and north of the Ship Canal Ballard). The park looks out over Elliot Bay or Puget Sound also depending on your definition of either of those features.

Here's the real vantage point overlooking Shilshold Marina.

Pictures:

From Sunset Park
Golden Gardens
Fishing Boats at Smith Cove Park (Queen Anne Hill in background)
Myrtle Edwards Park's pedestrian Bridge over railroad tracks to Queen Anne and Seattle Center (overlooking controversial sculpture: Adjacent, Against, Upon - https://www.historylink.org/File/10695
Large ship from Smith Cove Park
Overlook above WA-520 looking west to Olympic Mts
Looking north to Mt Baker (near Canadian Border) - volcano
Looking south to Mt Rainier (14,410 feet) - volcano
Looking east toward Cascade Mts.

We definitely have more topographical relief than Florida!

My usual 16 mile loop with 700 feet but planned to fit between squalls. It was dark and growing quickly...

Rode far enough to see these sights. Temp was high 50s. Made me very happy except for the 17% pitch on one climb.

I latched onto an old reply.

Hope you are doing okay if in lock-down?

(as an aside, how does one do an @XXXx to get a forum member's attention?)

Troul I thought I have tried that but obviously made some mistake.

I'm just wondering how The Chemist is doing in Shanghai?

Did a quick mountain bike ride doing a whopping 8.6 miles (gasps followed by oos and ahs then loud applause) with 1000’ of climbing (another round of unbelieving gasps). Don’t even try to beat those ultra-human numbers.

34 windy miles after the rain stopped. The sun was out by the end and temps about 60 degrees F. Tomorrow’s weather is looking good, too!
