Nope, latest find/acquisition. Awhile back I had posted and asked if we thought this was a Stumpy as the seller thought. Only 2 or 3 posts in, Its an MB-1 Bridgestone, 1994 10th Anniversary. Lugged Tange Prestige, Ritchey design bi-plane fork crown, pretty good newer paint, no decals, Control Tech brakes, Specialized bar and stem, Phil front hub, Mavic 517 rims, C King HS, Nitto 65 SP, Huret Eco Duopar RD, Suntour FD and Brooks Conquest ATB sprung seat which I had never seen before.

All in all, very cool, smaller than I thought it was but still cool as heck, rides very well and I like it.

Did you see the completed chrome Ritchey too yet?

merziac what in the world do you transport in that huge saddle bag? Your cricket gear and kit!?! An inflatable raft and paddles for crossing the Columbia River? Parachute, etc., for base jumping off the top of Mount Hood? Curious East-Coast minds want to know?

I did, great bike! I see what you mean about the Stumpy being "a little" small. I'm glad you like it, it's a gorgeous bike.

I'm always overpacked, the huge tool kit from the daily rider Merz is in there, compact pack and rain shell, plus a long sleeve flannel and probably some other stuff I forgot about.

Fail to plan, plan to fail, anytime I leave something out, I need it, if I drag along, I don't.

D'oh! Sorry, the Bridgestone is pretty awesome and more than a bit smaller than the Ritchey. I'm glad it likes you.

So, does having 10,000 posts mean you can post 1,000 pictures? Oh, wait. You've already done that.

Funny coincidence: Yesterday while driving home, I spotted two bike-packers coming off NH's longest Rail-Trail (about a mile from home) and heading to our local store. One of them had what looked to be the same seat bag.

I just want to see you whip out the inflatable raft and collapsible paddles for a Columbia River crossing!

That bag is a Transit, Performance house brand, been in use for at least 5 years now, was $49.95 and holding up just fine and bought another off efbay recently for $29.95.

Great value when most others are 3 or 4 times the price.

And they work very well for me when increasing or decreasing the load.
