50 miles per day is 350 per week? That's a lot of training stress, even at an endurance pace. Especially at age 75, when recovery takes longer.
I'd be sure to schedule in rest days, and pay close attention to your body.

50 miles per day is close to average for long distance tourists in the U.S.
Riding that much on a short loop would have me headed for the funny farm.

A short while back Phil Gaimon was riding 100K per day for a charity event and he complained of the fatigue and stress it caused him.
Of course his 100K per day would easily double my average speed but I get it, the body needs recovery days as part of its cycle.

To 99.9% of the population 25 miles a day is a big deal. Just ask anyone you meet, anywhere. I dare you. Double dare you. Please report back after sampling 100 random people.

99.9% of the general population probably couldn't give a darn about the "big deals" any bicyclist brags or posts about on BF, or anywhere else. I'd be surprised if 0.01% of the population ever heard about Bike Forums, let alone care about the "accomplishments" posted on it.

I am currently riding 40 miles per day. I have to ride a lot of loops around this foolishness; it keeps me on my toes. I have not been able to use some of the real estate I have in the past because of road work but it is finishing up just in time for me to go big as I always do. I have already lost 12 pounds and my wife says even my face is thinner. With the hot weather approaching I may get down to 130 pounds this year. I am 75. I retired in 2015 and I swear I am faster and stonger than I was in 1995 the last ime I raced. I was working 50-60 hours a week then and still putting in the miles. One could do worse than be a rider of the bicycle.
Im assuming you also mean every day of the week so 350/week?
I have had to decrease my daily avg due to the extreme heat in TX.

We don't have your heat, but it's still hot enough here that I've started my day a few hours earlier than normal for me. I've been retired for a while now and that's not easy. haha

Guess we’ll never find out how’s the OP doing with the 50 miles per day. Wish I had time to ride 50 miles every day. When I retire.
