Like the others have said, sounds pretty normal. Kudos to you for the ease of install! For s#*ts and giggles you may want to spray some soapy water on your rim to check for air leaks around the spokes, if nothing else just to get a feel for how your strapping tape is working. If it’s leaking like crazy without sealant that may push you to get proper tape before adding and not deal with any mess later but if they’re only leaking a little from here and there then at least you have decent reason to believe that once the sealant is in you’ll be fine.
