Odd... My 20 USD Wlamart helmet doesn't have one of those stickers... Ha

I can however see your concern. Especially in California as everyone knows that lead is especially dangerous over there...

By the way... Welcome to the forum...

Good thing I bought a Lazer last week so I can get my RDA of lead. Unbelievably light (not lite) helmet.

It did not kill the roaches in The Bronx so it won't kill me.

Besides, as kids we loved playing with the very flexible real lead pipe in the game of Clue!

That wasn't a good thing.

Prop 65 was very effective at getting the lead out of drinking water in the 1980s and 90s.

It's too bad that the ridiculous labeling thing is the part of the law everyone sees.

Lead isn't "in the drinking water", lead is in the pipes. Proper treatment chemistry and corrosion protection like orthophosphate addition prevents leaching and protects from the small sources like valves, faucets, and solder joints that don't make headlines.

Lead can get into the drinking water from the pipes depending on the chemical composition of the drinking water--e.g., pH levels. Look at what happened in Flint before you make such blanket statements.

I'm confused--are you arguing for new installation of lead pipes and lead paint? Overall, our levels of lead are much lower from the days when those were prevalent.

Our lead-free generation is way dumber than the lead and nuclear fallout generations of the past.
