Thanks for the previous comments, realize this is an ancient thread, but gave me the confidence to buy a new freehub body FH-RM33 / Y30V98050 online (after my local bike shop said I'd be better off with a new $150 wheel and $90/hr service rate, 2 weeks for the wheel plus another 3 weeks for a service opening). While I totally understand that in today's conditions, I DIY'd for $31 including the 10mm allen wrench for the fixing bolt. Perfect fit for my 2009 Trek 7300 hybrid (stop smirking) with FH-RM60 8 speed hub. Thanks for previous link to Shimano data sheet FH-RM60-8S-QR.

Hi, your old freehub most likely needs only getting opened, cleaned and lubed with the heavy grease at the bearings' ring, lighter lube on pawls and the inside of the shell. Found no wear on mine, it's all about grease eventually getting to the pawls.
