Original tires not so great
Original Pinarello branded Continental tires from 2010. Looked new but this happened on a ride today. Any one seen crooked tires before? And yes the rim is straight.

I'm guessing there are some cords broken...
... although my latest experience with "good tires gone bad" has been layers of cord delaminating completely and letting the tube escape! It looked a lot like broken cords when I first felt it during the bike ride, though.

Oh yeah. We a customer who complained about his Gios riding funny. We tried the wheels, repacked the hubs and nothing. I took it out for a test and it wobbled. I put a set of my wheels on it and it felt fine. We could never find anything but it must have been a broke casing under the tread. I put on some new tires and rode it 120 miles over the weekend to “test it”

Probably a rupture waiting to happen. But if the tire appears to be structurally sound, check the fit of the bead and rim. Sometimes rim tape that's too wide and/or thick will hinder seating the bead properly and the tire will have a bit of a wobble. Usually this is visible by examining the mounted and inflated tire sidewall against the rim -- there will be a visible irregularity where the bead didn't seat.
But a 10 year old tire? I'd probably replace it ASAP, even though I'm a cheapskate.

Yeah................................................ You can ride it a couple more miles. But, It's gonna blow. Do yourself a favor & get a new tire. Otherwise, just read the sentence below.

New tires ordered and replacement tires have been put on until they arrive. I don’t want to risk a blowout.

I've seen this happen simply because of hinky tire/tube seating. Try re-seating the tire on the rim. You may even need to re-orient the tire on the rim, and 
lose the label/valve alignment.

I had 2 brand new Kenda K35's purchased at different times with a kink in them but then again, they were Kenda K35's sooo.......

just because photos are always interesting, here are some shots of my recent bulging tire experience. About 5 miles from home, it had a similar kink to it, which I interpreted as broken cords. I chose the quickest way home, and managed to get within a mile before the tube got out and blew.
Here's the first close look at the tire....
It is a black tire with a gray stripe down the middle... there's not much wear on the tire.
It was unused for about 5 years, though, and stored indoors on the wheel.
The tread is still attached to the top layer of cords, but that layer has separated from the layer below it.
Upon removal from the rim, it could be seen that the various layers of cords had become unbonded from the other layers. Manufacturing defect?
The tube appears to have just found its way between the layers and blown when it got outside of the tire.
the good news? A woman pulled up and offered me a ride home. I was within a half mile, so I declined, but we had a nice chat.
The other good news is that I was wearing SPD shoes, so no problem walking with the bike.

SPD-SL are not good for walking. I had to walk 2 miles home barefoot after a blowout once, forgot my phone.

Front tire blowouts are particularly dangerous. If you're going high speed. Like 20 mph. And, the front tire blows out & fails. You can actually do an end - over. A cart - wheel. Yeah. All the way baby. Don't ask me how I know this. "IF YOU"RE GOING TO BE STUPID - YOU BETTER BE TOUGH"
