Post a photo of a haunted mansion. (For the purposes of this mission, any large Victorian house will do.)

It's been awhile, how about a haunted Lighthouse?

Hueneme Lighthouse, near Ventura, not Victorian, but will Art Deco do ?

I can only offer a (possibly haunted) Soviet army something (no idea what exactly it was), tying it with the previous mission

How about if we allow this challenge another day or two? I hate to nitpick, but I had specified a large Victorian house.

There might be some debate about what is Victorian. Our local historic district made a homeowner tear up a brick walkway because they said the style was Queen Anne, not Victorian. I wouldn't have known the difference.

If you all are bored with it, I won't protest if there is a consensus to move on to something else.

Post a photo of a haunted mansion. (For the purposes of this mission, any large Victorian house will do.)

Funny. I went to the website for the B&B, and they seem to go out of their way to not mention it and pick camera angles that don't emphasize it.

Gotta be a story there.

Next mission: A math or science themed sculpture. Not a sculpture of a scientist but something that coveys a scientific idea.

These, for example, represent a hypercube (a 3D projection of a 4D cube and a methane molecule, respectively.

Damn, I'm too late. Not entirely Victorian either, but I think the spooky factor is there. Oh well, at least I had a good 67 km ride.

So in these untravelling times, something close to home that transports you, personally, to another place. Tell why. Bonus points if you have a picture you took of the other place.

(Warning, No, the local Italian restaurant does not count as like Napoli. Or other ethnic restaurant. Be creative, something that means something near but is somehow connected to something that means something far.)

Mission: Travel Near to Travel Far.

Edit: I forgot about the record low on Easter. And what’s even worse is that the greatest peaches in the world...Palisade peaches...got hit to. As if 2020 couldn’t be made worse!

What’s the new mission?

Just want to remind posters that you when you post your picture fulfilling a mission that you need to post the new mission as well. Otherwise the mission is not complete. Not doing so stalls the games, and someone could actually preempt your post and post with a new mission.

Dan

Dog Ate My Homework.. but I finally scooped it up!

From time to time I run across opportunities for really good pics of old missions. In the spirit of Fredo_Adagio I would like to offer a few pics for your amusement only; none are current entries. (I see the mile high post-frost photo has 2 likes including one from subgrade and a _ForceD_ prompt so we're awaiting cyccommute's new mission.)

PlantScan says this is a Glossy Privet.

I was waiting for subgrade to accept it. I didn’t know if dead flowers are acceptable.

But, here goes

Next mission: A transportation mode for carrying people that isn’t powered by an internal combustion engine that isn’t a bicycle...nor, for the clowns out there, a tricycle.

Sheez, what's left then? Horses? Hmmmm….. Sleds? Paddle boats, boats with oars.... Aaaaaaaaa...…. Hmmmm….. sliding downa rail? LOL. bobsled or luge.... hehehehe Oh wait, electric trains... Like in San Francisco and probably other places... I'm not sure what all trains are powered by electrics and what aren't...… What's the name of the things you ride up when skiing. That's bad, I should know the name of them. I used to work at a ski hill and run them. This is what happens when you get old. You lose words. At least I do. LOL.
