Question for mulekick 853 owners
Wondering if there are any mulekick 853 owners here who could help me out. I bought a whipshot build kit from bikes direct(same frame as the mule kick) and wanted to set it up as a 2x drivetrain rather than a 1x and was wondering how the cables are routed under the BB. Both the whipshot and mulekick have external routing braze ons but the whipshot has only 2 sets and nothing under the BB for cable guides for a FD. Wondering if anyone has a mulekick and could snap a picture or 2 of the downtube and under BB cable routing so I have an idea to go off for my build.
Thanks in advance

Thank you! ive had a tough time finding cable guides for housed cables like the one in your picture. Any idea where you got it?
Apparently I don't have enough posts yet to even quote someone with pictures let alone post them!

I would think any simple plastic clip could substitute. It only holds the cable in place below the BB shell. It does not hold the housing from slipping fore or aft.

good enough for me. I purchased some cheap 3m stick on ones in the meantime. And found a problem solvers single cable guide for the FD that has an integrated stop so I'll give those a shot and see how it works. I really appreciate your help. Can't wait to get this thing up and going!

I doubt the stick-ons will stick very long in that location. Check the small parts rack at a hardware store, they usually have small clips. Then you just need to find screws that will fit.

I like the Mulekick/Whipshot frame. I wish BD would sell that frame without the wheels since I already have too many wheelsets laying around!
