Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Swapped stem caps, and added a spacer. Spacer wasn’t necessary, fork had clearance but just wanted to be sure.

Play is still there. If I get a moment today I’m going to take it apart. Add grease and repeat.

My eyes might be playing tricks on me, but it looks like the top bearings might not be seat correctly and that might be the problem. The Bearings cap looks like it might not be equal distance all away around.

If that doesn’t fix it then off to the bike shop I go. Will prolly just have them cut the steerer tube while they are at it.

No ladder required. 10 foot pole gets most of it.

I have a cherry tree in my front yard. It’s pretty large, never seen a cherry though.

Now that I think about it, I don’t even really know if it is a cherry tree.

The bike valet did his thing this morning. Got to the wife's favorite ride start, and a 20% chance of rain turned into a 100% chance.

Not certain what they mean by that but I get plenty thirsty when active and I try to avoid dehydration as much as possible.

Having Zwifted yesterday because of possible smokeout today, the AQI is moderate all down the Peninsula. <100 over the whole Peninsula, and <60 almost everywhere I'd ride.

Relatively.

I can't even post Jay-Z's version here, even the radio edit version is too much.

I gotta get one of those for my pears, I wonder why I've never seen one before, not even in Agways or Tractor Supply stores around here. This is serious apple country.

I was riding by an RV dealership this morning and a loud speaker blares out: "You are trespassing on private property. Your actions are being recorded . . ."

Either it was an odd coincidence that I just happened to be passing when a trespasser was sneaking around inside, or else the announcement was directed at me.

[I was properly riding on the road, obviously.]
