Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Unless you have long arms or like to ride in an aggressive position, I would lean towards the 49 if I were you.
thanks for reply

I understand that my calculations put the standard parameters for pro.
My problem is I do not like the top tube slopes down too much -> looks bad.

I do not race, so I want comfortable position on the bike, I use it to go around the city, traveling in a few days.

Should I be overcome by replacing one short stems (6cm compared with existing 9cm), seat post offset = 0 (I like Thomson elite), Ritchey seat post offset = 2.5 cm. Reduced 5,5cm -> ok ???? Or do you still keep your comments ??

intends to upgrade after I had this bike: Thomson seat post, Brooks saddles and stems perhaps more

Not sure what to say about the top tube angle, it has less of an angle than a CAADx, which I think has a pretty aggressive stance to begin with. I wouldnt consider either frames compact.

The stem you can shorten, but typically if your going under 80mm most people will say the bike is too big for you. As for the seat post, switching to a zero setback post isn't the best solution to shorten a bike, it puts your body too far forward in relation to the bottom bracket, and you would have to put the seat back further on the rails for a true correct fit.

All I can say is buy it and try it. If it fits keep it, if not, send it back for the smaller size. You will just be out shipping.

Here's a shot of my ground up custom built JBC while it's clean. It's not as high spec as it has been before but it still grinds gravel with the best of them and been doing a lot of that lately.

My gravel grinder, touring machine, commuter, shopping bike etc.

The seat pack is a little off due to my dog leash mount.

Searched the world over (Google search) for pics of the new Giant Anyroad with fenders and/or a rack. Found nothing and so here's mine:

(forgive me the plumber tape bracket until I can machine a permanent solution)

Ready for the crummy weather commuting ahead.

here it is naked, same pic I posted here months ago

Got the Yeti cleaned up and ready for next weekends racing. The bikes going on it's 4th season and I've only swapped out cables, new tires, added a trusty old saddle and did have to get the rear wheel rebuilt. Over the winter all the cable housings will be replaced along with new FSA handle bars which will be the same type on my road bike and tandem.

Here is mine though it wont see quite as much abuse sine I just built up an All-City Nature boy disc this weekend. This is my Salsa Cassenroll. A tried and true performer. I have beat this bike to death and it still comes back strong.

Here is the Nature Boy Almost ready for primetime.
The Nature Boy is as quick riding a bike as any I have ever touched. Light at 25 lbs with water bottle and pump. Love the disc brakes on the trail.

Here is my grinder-do it all bike.
I made a build there's about it too, but as I'm very happy with the first 200 miles, I thought I would put her in the 'show us yours' thread.

Changes since first build
Changed to a 127mm mtb bottom bracket for a better chain line.
Longer stem
Narrower bar after bending the bell lap, don't like it so looking for a more flaired bar.

Are bamboo tubes slide over the alloy tubes on a Bontrager fork or have the alloy tubes been replaced?
