The place is ALREADY packed. The last year, there have been more parked cars - so presumably more cyclists - at Canada and 92 than I remember seeing in25 years of riding there. I think it might actually be SAFER with the first 2 miles blocked off, because now you have to dodge around the inexperienced riders who flock there while also dodging cars, whereas on Bicycle Sundays, the only cars on canada between 92 and Edgewood are going to Filoli.
But in any case, I'll keep riding there because it's the only way for me to get to the nice roads in Woodside and Portola Valley without driving.

I'm there around 8am on weekday mornings. Nary a soul when I ride that section. Another reason why I always ride in the mornings.
