Personally I find bear spray, a valve core tool and an 11ounce MSR peg hammer to be sufficient for most any situation.

I still have my sons' wooden muchum (practice swords) from when they were taekwondo students. I would like to give it a try.

I wonder if they carry a spare tube or just a patch kit!

As for the OP, I don't know how to properly use a sword off the bike much less on the bike.
