We had a gravel race scheduled in May that is now cancelled, of course. I had the gps route and since yesterday was a dreary day, I rode it despite “gravel” not really being my thing. Turned out to be very enjoyable. Besides being scenic, the route crossed 7 bridges that I had worked on in my former life. I enjoyed the memories. Great solo ride.
Kudos on your ride, though Sounds fun!

I started that thread. Should have known better. People seem to lose their minds (both for and against) when a certain brand is mentioned. My intentions were pure though, I swear.
Ha, exactly. Not to start another side (and possibly controversial) conversation, but with all these big name fools having degrees from the most prestigious universities in the US, clearly through means other than merit, how can anyone take this stuff seriously anymore?

But doesn't USC have a campus? That's the point. At NYU, you are "in" the city no matter what. And sure, that area of the city is fine, but there is still more than enough trouble for an 18 year old to find. And I'm not talking about getting mugged or some random, violent crime.
There were still fabric covered planes being used in WW2, perhaps the most romantic period in aviation (despite the whole war and death aspect). It's not exactly ancient...
