27 inch gravel bike tires
I'm thinking of converting a C&V road frame to a gravel bike, are there any good 27 inch gravel capable tires? The bike has 27 1 1/8 tires on it, I can go up to 1 1/4 possibly 1 3/8 (I would have to measure). My other option is convert to 700c, but don't want to do that unless it is the only option.

Continental and Schwalbe have various 1 1/4 tires.
My first choice would be 700c wheels as you have more options that are quality and you could likely fit a touch wider tire.
The Swift option would be my choice for 27" if it can fit.

I converted a Motobecane Grand Record from 27 inch to 700c. I was able to install a 700x35 Gravel king. https://road.cc/content/review/27165...-700-x-35-tyre

I went with Panaracer Paselas and they should be here by Monday. What I am trying to build is more of a gravel friendly road bike then an actual gravel grinder, I ride the canals here and there are a lot of unpaved sections. The frame is a really nice late 70's Centurion Le Mans, I'm going with Shimano STI's, I have a NOS set of 7 speed brifters on hand, with a 13-21 freewheel, and either Shimano light action or 600 derailleurs. Here's the bike as found. Hoping my Shimano side pulls are long enough, the bike came with Mafac center pulls.
