Now 70 I have been raising bars over the last year. Gonna get down from 20+ to nearly 10 due to not being able to bear to stick tall stems on my Italians.

Seeing quite a few vintage bikes here. Are these your every day rides?
They look very pretty, but I wouldn't want to ride one all the time. The new bikes are so much better to ride.

I often roll neo-retro with my Tern Rally.
Tern Rally
I’d love to find an affordable way to get a silver derailleur on there, but I need one that indexes/works with a Microshift thumbie.

Well this ol' geezer was on three different bikes today.
Morning grocery store run on the Azor:
Then a 40 miler on the XL Super shaking out the newly glued up tubulars:
Then back out for a short evening cruise on the Guv'nor:

So I sold off the "better" new bikes and haven't looked back.
Another funny thing is this is one of my heaviest bikes yet puts power down so well that I've posted many of my fastest climbs on it.....with a 42T small chainring. This was what I took out today since it was Independence day.

Well truth be told that's an older shot of it. That saddle is one I couldn't ride. Sold it off and now there's a nice comfy Fizik Kurve Chameleon on it.

Pashley Path Racer - Single Speed, Drum Brakes
I've probably posted this bike here in the distant past, but this shot is too good not to share.

At 54, just bought my first road bike - Giant Defy. I've been riding a hybrid forever. Long time back problems, feeling the best I have in many years since my 2nd lumbar discectomy in Jan 2020.

Turned my 1993 Zipp2001 into a Carbon Belt Drive Single Speed and gave her a new dress.
