Bianchi Columbus TSX full Campy 24 speed
Hello,
The garage is to full. Trying to decide if I do a full rebuild on this or pass it along. I am in Northern California / Bay Area and Bianchi's seem to be desirable here. Any help with fair pricing would be appreciated.

It is the wrong color to get the 'premium' Bianchi price bump, but you are in a strong market. We (your potential buyers) are getting older and appreciate triples in our vintage roadies (given hilly terrain). As well as Italian and silver. I recently sold a nice, mostly Campy equipped Merckx SLX for $675 (good Seattle market).
TSX intrigues me, so - if it were my size - $700/800 would be my tops. If the shifters have been overhauled or are as unused as the rear cassette appears to be, then the upper end. A full, final inspection might allow me to niggle you down.
Your good pics, full description of every component, disclosure of nicks + paint/decal blems, should draw interest. Agree a price or narrow range before the 'buyer' shows.

I'd shoot for $500 over what Wildwood quoted.
There are some nice rarish parts on there, and lightly used.
Ask $1500.

Ya know, I do not disagree. I almost wrote - if desiring more be patient.
Advertise widely. $1500 sounds like an ebay Buy it Now (no returns).
only one opinion. $200 frameset, $500 component group
$695 sells it in a week. In winter.
edit: 'rarish parts on there' = reconsider maximum value proposition by disassembling - and shipping component parts and a frameset instead of the hassles of packing a complete bike.

The TSX decal seems an oddity. Is this Columbus tubing or Bianchi proprietary? Columbus Bianchi frames I have had said Columbus.

Since Bianchi was as said a big buyer they had there own stickers for several types of Columbus tubing around this time.

One of the nice details on this bike, though hard to see in these photos, is the ovalized down tube. It is round at the head tube and oval in profile at the bottom bracket. Apparently done to add lateral stiffens to the frame.

Around 1,000 is a fair price, but you will have to wait for anything over $850. I've seen regular models languish up there on CL for $600. You have a premium model. Like the first response said, its the wrong color for premium price. Its also the lower tubeset (weightwise) for the similar reparto corse frames, some of which were ELos and Genius.

The '95 catalog (I haven't looked other yet) list the TSX as being Super Set 2 deign so it may have a larger DT and therefore a Columbus tubeset drawn to Bianchi's specifications

+1 Columbus and otherers did have oversized down tubes this one is less visible than others it was a thing in the 90's. I have owned seen several examples. One thing don't separate the front boss ovilized cable stops from the frame there real hard to replace. As for value I do agree on a real world price of a $1000-1200 even in the tough market.
