New old guy
Hello from a former racer and bike shop (Marina Del Rey Bike in CA) pro bike specialist in the 70’s and 80’s
Campagnolo Technical Support:
1983 Pre-Olympic track event
1984 Los Angeles Olympics
Western US technical representative 1985-87 providing technical support for National and World Championships, Coors Classic and other stage and one day races and touring events
Personal bikes are a 1984ish Dave Tesch Model 100, custom built to measure, which was Dave’s first and possibly only frame built with Reynolds 753. The other is the first custom Panasonic in the US built for me by Takao Ono as a thank you for interpreting for the Japanese team during the 1972 Grand Prix of the United States.
Glad to share what I can still remember. Cranial hard drive crashes may be a problem.

And several post old articles from those days.
Many from different industry segments.
There's even a couple of the repack riders (pun intended) who post.
Stories, anecdotes, tips are always a pleasure.
Welcome.
Edit: I was at LA84. Only as a week-long visitor.
Oh yeah, Weinmann deltas - any good?

.....as brakes - I already like the hoods

Wildwood - Never used them myself but my concern with any wedge actuated brake was added friction, increased lever effort and less feedback compared to sidepulls.
POB - Ran across the CV forum and decided to stick my nose in.
Edit - Should have said “wedge shaped three pivot actuated brake” Caused by nodding off and finger on back button.
