Normally this would be bad, but in this case, since these are much needed products I think it should be an exception. I wish the OP good luck in bringing these products to market. There has been a crying need for these for years now.

as an owner of a bicycle grip injection mold and frame and knowing the cost of having that mold made and having parts molded regularly for the last ten years, that list provided represents a huge investment. Is there really that much of a need for these parts to justify it? Are the parts going to be injection molded? To clarify; my single cavity mold cost $9000 to have made in 2010. Molded parts were $2 in 2010 (material and labor), now they are $8 each (just labor). Raw material has increased similarly.

Making those parts available worldwide on a platform like fleabay would likely recover the investment costs in a reasonable time.
Personally, I could do with some 4400 pieces

I suspect the OP is going to be using additive manufacturing, or printing them.
Normally I'd be on the "kick the bum out!" bandwagon. But I have been rigging ways to keep some older brifters running without grabbing bare metal; therefore, I'm going to be eager to see how this works out.

OP said he's not printing them. Having been in rubber molding for decades, the best way to make high quality parts is to injection mold them, which is a very expensive process. Multi cavity molds (for efficiency) for that many hoods will cost tens of thousands of dollars.
