RİTCHEY Ascent Comp 88-89..
İt could be 87..The handlebar style would be from 87 on. But other components are hard to place in time.. The seat post, for instance is a model that was used in early Ritcheys,.. The bike was given to me in 1999, so i dont know what is original or not.. The crank I replaced, i dont remember what was wrong with the original Shimano.. Serial number is A149, and that indicates that the frame was put together in USA, with Ritchey Bikes welding. All these frames, to some extent had Tom Ritchey working directly on them in different parts of the production and had the "Handcrafted" sticker on,.. Sadly my frame lost that particular decal.. I used the bike daily for more than 10 years, until i moved to Spain in 2010,and has Been sitting in my in laws garage since!.. Time to sell it.. Unsure of size, i can provide sizing at some point, but I would say Medium,.. The bike is in Northern Colorado and cant be shipped, so....
I am thinking 300 dollars.. Wish i could use it myself!!

This bike is sweet. Someone will enjoy fixing it up.
Good luck with the sale.
By the way, you will want to cross list this in the C&V for sale forum. Buena suerte.

Nice bike that looks suitable for a drop bar conversion. It needs work, but, I would be tempted if I was in that area, or if shipping was an option.

Yes İt is very sweet., great ride is all i can say.. I took it for a spin a couple years ago, on a visit and was, after riding an aluminum MTB for commuting these læst years, very impressed with handling and weight.. İf i could, now that I am more and more into bikes, i would definitely restore this bike, and the drop bar idea is cool...
I don't know how complicated would be to ship, or what kind of arrangements could be done for it.. Let's see if someone picks it up in person....

Tarántula...!!! We'll... I encountered many tarántulas riding this bike in New Mexico.. Actually right now they must be doing their migration and you can see them all over the mountain and high desert.. I am quite sure the bike was originally purchased in Santa Fe

I still really like this bike. If was in that area, or shipping had been available, I am pretty sure I would have purchased it at the time of the original post. I no longer have a need for it as I have built a bike for the purpose I would have used yours. I think it is really good candidate for being someone's project, of which I already have a couple. If my curiosity piques me, I will research packing and shipping cost.

Can you measure the seat tube for us? I'm down in Albuquerque and may be interested if it fits.
