What, no April thread yet? Sorry Matt, I just finished a ride and want to get this started.
Should be getting warmer just about everywhere now, so what are your plans for April? I'm going for 250 miles, although I expect to have some travel that may slow me down.

I'll be on the trainer for another 10 days or more before I get cleared to ride on the road again. Cleared for trainer rides as of this morning. Not sure what I'll be able to do this month, but I'll shoot for 300 miles.

Hi folks , it’s been awhile.
The knees got so bad I had to just stop riding totally .
I’ve tried to start back on my Cruiser bikes , thinking they would be easier on the knees .
Even bought a new Electra 7d and swapped out the cranks so I could swap out the chainring .
Didn’t work .
I’m ready to try again , but on my old Schwinn Crisscross with a standard D frame . Hoping this will allow me to get back on the road .
Starting slow , even for this old man . I’ll be 72 this year .
If I could get back to riding five miles a day five days a week , I’d be happy .
April goal , to get back to riding regularly .

Wanted to get out of the neighborhood “bowl” , uphill no matter which direction I go .
once out it’s rolling terrain.
also wanted test the knees because rain is predicted for the next three days .
feels good , so far

I think it's stopped raining for a while, but 3+ weeks off the bike have taken their toll. Took a short ride Tuesday and 8 miles felt like 30. Then 21 today and it felt much better. Hope that's a trend. Going to hope for 150 this month.

During the off-season, I continued my tradition of at least one bike ride, however small, per calendar week. That usually means a ride of 1 or 2 miles and I'm an icicle when I get back to the house. Been doing that for going on 3 years now. But, there was no way NE Ohio was going to let me get 100+ outside miles in a month over the winter.
Looking at the April forecast, there's a decent chance I can sneak in 100 this month.

it went from 86 degrees yesterday afternoon to 44 degrees today with a wind chill of 38
