1985 Bianchi catalog


This article about the Celeste or black Bianchi x4 shows the many of the same features. Is the tubing on your bike SLX with rifling inside the tubes at the bottom bracket?
The Giro doesn’t have the chrome seat stays or the chrome fork so I’m going to say that’s not a match

Back in the day, catalogs were sent out to printers months before actual bike production. So changes were made afterwards. I never consider catalogs as the final statement on what was made.

nice bianchi fitted with campy record or chorus 8 speed or 9 speed with a pair of shamals, it will be a killer bike

Looks like regular single stage paint.
The frame must be near the top of their model lineup for that year.
Nice to see a regular Columbus SL tubing decal on it.
This must be right before they used their "Formula" tubesets on m9st of their bikes.

This frame is an odd Blue Specialissima SL. The fork area shown on this frame was painted on the celeste version of the 85 Specialissima SL.
