Do Cyclists Wear This ?

I try not to pay attention to annoying ads but while browsing this very forum, I could not ignore this one. I seldom ride in groups, but if I were drafting someone wearing this, I may give up cycling forever...

On longer rides I will sometimes wear padded shorts, but I keep them hidden underneath my regular pants or cargo shorts, so nobody knows that I am wearing them.

Cycling shorts are often shown inside out so you can see what sort of padding is inside. You wouldn’t actually wear them like that.

I'd thought that too,but so far of the orders received ended up being returned because of the exposed buttocks padding.

They are made to be worn under other pants or shorts. hence the title cycling underwear.

I was dumbfounded by the orange bubble butt pads, so I didn't notice that they are meant to be worn under something. The other thing I didn't notice until my wife pointed it out is that they are 95% OFF, now she wants a pair.

I wear bib shorts but I don't wear them inside out. I think the idea was to show off the chamois.

If only we could get these to catch on as a fashion trend.

They're inside out in order to show the pad. You can see the tag above which hopefully gives it away to most people.

It's funny when people suddenly discover a different genre of cycling.

Next up: Why do all the shirts have pockets in the back?

I think you're supposed to wear then under other shorts or pants, like underwear. Though that doesn't make it any less horrible.

Underwear worn under the padded undershorts. Can be an underwhelming bunching experience.
