Idaho-Montana route
I posted this in the Mountain-Plains group but thought that Pacific NW folks might have experience with this.
A group of us from Oregon are doing a tour out of Coeur d’Alene next week. One day is from Thompson Falls MT to Mullan ID. Can anyone tell me if National Forest Development Road 7326 is paved or unpaved? That would save us time over going to Wallace through Murray and Eagle and backtracking to Mullan. I’m also interested in hearing if it’s worth the extra time and mileage to do the Murray route.
Thanks for any advice from those who’ve ridden this.

No, I think it's only paved between Wallace and the ghost town Burke (~10mile out of Wallace) and past that it's a gravel road. Why do you want to backtrack to Mullan if you're going to Coeur d'Alene? Wallace has more amenities than Mullan and IMAHO a more fun place to stay.

Thanks for your prompt reply. That confirms what I suspected. Unfortunately our party booked an Airbnb in Mullan before we learned that Wallace is a much better place to stay. We’ll try to make the best of it. Thanks again.

Mullan is good in its own funky way. I think you will enjoy it though it’s a very small community. They’re proud of their history and who they are.
Wallace is only 12 miles down the trail from Mullan.
