1999 Cannondale Silk Path 500 aka SP500
I’m planning on putting this bike up for sale locally. I took it down to the frame, replaced the failed upper headset sealed bearing and the frozen brake cables and housing and straightened out and trued the warped rear wheel to where it now runs properly. This is the 8-speed middle of the range (in ‘99 the SP300 was 7-speed and the SP700 was 9-speed) of the Silk Path hybrids with the Headshok. And both the Headshok and the suspended Post Moderne seatpost work. If it was a 20-in instead of a 22-in I’d probably keep it.
Thoughts on pricing an hour away from Greenville SC?

MSRP $975. In a strong urban market, $350-400 in good condition, less in rural and outlying areas.
Glad you rebuilt the Headshok. That would be the one thing on this bike that would make me hesitate. It's my understanding that a lot of the parts used were proprietary, and finding parts today can be an issue.

Sold one in Greenville myself a few years ago for $200. I found the Greenville market to be solid but not hot. And if you are not close, buyers don’t want to drive far.

I wound up selling this one to my LBS for resale, pocketing $200. I probably could have gotten more for it via CL or FB Marketplace, but the reduced hassle was well worth it.

You did fine on price if they took as is.. One could easily sink $200 plus into a bike like this only to sell it $400-450 at best on CL.
