Camelback
Today I had off. Not ground breaking news but I loaded my bike on the car and headed north to new roads. My the time I got to Fort Collins, my Camelback had dripped 2-3 liters of water all over the floor of my car! I love Camelback but I'm not sure what to do next? Replace the thing with something else or go back to W.B. for all my needs.

I bought Camelbaks, just for the bladders.
Great for backpacking, where water was scarce.
Super well-built and sturdy. Can't imagine one springing a leak.

The best thing about camelback bladders is that after a few weeks, it tastes like one.

I've found when they leak like that, it is usually because I somehow squeezed down on the valve.

I like the bite valve on Camelbacks better than Ospreys but I have definitely have them leak out when the hose end is sitting below the bladder. That’s why it has the manual valve, which I usually just forget about. I really don’t like the great big jar lid on Camel bladders which I often get cross threaded and sometimes wish it had something normal.

It is a first gen. Camelback. (The ones without a stop valve on the end.) It links near the bottom of the bladder. What to do? Replace the whole bladder? Will a first gen. fit the newer ones?
