For my '91, I returned to the Campy/Sun wheelset, added some Campy pedals (from one of you fine folks ), and this one is done!

Since the last post, 55, I have replaced the decals. The DT and ST decals were missing and the previous post shows what it looked like when purchased and cleaned up.
I am not happy with the placement of the DT decal. I think it is too low. I looked at a ton of pics and found that they are never in the same place! I guess I can place it at my discretion. I may leave enough room to mount a cage below it.

I lust after the 80s SLX with white and red panels. They sure are in demand if the prices is an indicator. The SLX De Rosa and Montello were half or less $s

I think the late-1980s Equipe in red and white, with all that chrome, including lugs, is the nicest looking frameset I have ever seen. Full stop.

Got it for free. Cleaned it up (tires, cables, tape, saddle) and it's awesome.

It is not uncommon, though not seen often, that the head lugs are chrome but to have the entire seat cluster chromed is a plus! Looks much more balanced.
Chroming the stays all the way, including the seat cluster balances with full chrome on the fork and head lugs. Love it.

Asking for the BB shell to be chrome is maybe OTT!

Early in my education of appreciation for quality bikes, I thought only the best had cast DO and chrome head lugs like the Colnago Superissimo in the stable. Chrome head lugs being one of the drivers for buying the Bott above. Thought it would be much lighter but that was part of the education too. I believe I paid too much for it then but now not so much.

Note the difference in the bend profile of the fork from the 70's to the 80's.

After a post about chrome lugs is kind of where I belong

But loathe internal cable routing to my core, as much as turkey levers in the community

Stripped the frame mentioned in post #128.

This is going to clean up well. Some paint infill to do though - especially at the lower headlug.
