I had to check these... usually I see Peugeots and every now and then Bianchis in children size (20"), but so far haven't seen an ALAN, so now knowing that it exists (even if in 24"), I can start saving up, still have some time left before my daughter outgrows the 18" and 20"

I added the Gamba name to the list (now 36 and counting!) thanks, Lattz but although I'm sure there were other-than-Carbonio models sold as Fanini, I'm trying to be consistent as far as only listing examples we have seen photo-evidence of (without a (?), and the Carbonio Fanini ALAN was certainly "real" because I owned that one!

But as always we welcome all additions to this list and the chance to update and make correx!

Some more...

Since I broke the rule of the CV Pages (photos or didn't happen) I make it up for the Fanini alu

Fangio and Plum from Belguim

Source: Fangio Alan Mavic report | DCI Steel Vintage Racing Bicycles (dcisite.be)

Source: Alan Plum Vainqueur frame 57.5 cm (c-t) / 56 cm (c-c) – Velosaloon.com

And some other brands mentioned in the ALAN guide co-authored by Andrea Bonfanti, the magician known on these pages as corsaclassic : https://www.registrostoricocicli.com...an/alan_guida/

Also here's a Fanini with internal TT cable, interesting detail not mentioned in the Guide,

and although some of the brands have made it to our list, we can keep eyes peeled for some of these "seldom seen" ALANs such as:
Torpado, Pavarin (any connection with the plastic shoe cleats?), Pagani, DBS, Monark and an Austrian RIH?
Thanks again. Lattz!

Okay this was fast. Radsport RIH is a 3rd generation bike shop in Vienna.
They build or built bikes with their own pantos in steel and really sold ALAN (and also Vitus) as well

just for grins, these are the classic Pavarin slotted plastic cleats, but they also made similar in cast alloy metal and later models were "bolt-on" not nailed to your soles.

It's a ambitious try!
And don't forget some people, from a cycling shop or not, just put decals on an Alan, just because they have these.
As this one I think.

The Rowona ís the Rof Wolfshohl, They combined Rowona and Rof Wolfshohl decals on the bicycles.

"The Rowona ís the Rof Wolfshohl, They combined Rowona and Rof Wolfshohl decals on the bicycles."
and so I combined both names in one listing.

I'm avoiding digging too far into the weeds (i.e. minuscule details) so am not noting the distinctions such as precise models or iterations, nor which are CX or step-thru (Ladies) frames, etc.
I think this would make a simple list too complicated (plus I don't have quite that much free time!)

Major for bringing AlAn to the States. Beautiful tribute build and presentation by Wayne Bigham / Velo Classique whom acquired Pinto's business.

For sure it's not a Vitus 979 !

and lastly my eariler mentioned EUROCYCLES. I dig the "Fabbrication Francaise" HT decal. And yes, I'm really that stupid that finally I gig it out from the other end of the cellar room and forgot to take a full frame photo. Maybe in the next 10 years.

It seems like any shop that had even slightest racing aspirations was selling rebadged ALAN frames back in the day. Also, as mentioned by others, it's impossible to say when the decals were applied, so there will be some oddball cases here and there. That means that this list is gonna be pretty long.

Of the shops/brands not mentioned so far (apologies if I'm repeating any), here's what I have so far (there might be more among untagged pics - I'll add if I find any others). Since this would be way too many pics to post, unworthy1 , let me know f there are any off this list you'd especially like me to post.

I thought @Lattz was on the way to winning the record (does that even exist?) for contributing Most Entries Ever to this (for amusement only) trivia list.

BUT NO.
@MauriceMoss has broken the record, the turn table, the stereo and closed the shop!
I think the above may take over as "the list" and we can retire the earlier effort!
At a glance I don't see obvious duplications...I wonder how the ALAN factory could possibly keep track of all these brands (and their stickers/decals), unless they just sold unmarked frames and said "have at it, my friends"!

EDIT: well still pondering what to do with so many names, but I do see one duplicate (for a start) that was listed (no. 27) but uncomfirmed, so can you post a pic of
Lazzaretti

They rebranded Alan Carbonios as their own in the mid 80's

I can't imagine ALAN fiddling with all those decals; probably more efficient to ship plain frames and let people do their sticker thing.

As for Lazzaretti, you get a two for one special; one regular and one ladies:

Good eye. I intentionally left brands already mentioned in the thread off the list, so as to not create duplication (except for Lazzaretti which was mentioned but had no picture, which is why I probably didn't see it when scanning the posts).

thanks again MauriceMoss the Super Record Lazzaretti has a particularly nice color anodizing (to me) but possibly a result of some fading over time and UV exposure. Still...a nice pale blue. And we got the correct spelling of Lazzaretti!
